Knautia - Witwenblume
2 Arten kommen auf der Peloponnes vor: K. integrifolia (subsp. integrifolia, subsp. mimica & subsp. urvillei), K. orientalis
Innerhalb der Gattung Knautia tritt Gynodiözie auf, dass heißt, es gibt innerhalb einer Population neben zwittrigen Pflanzen auch (seltener) rein weibliche. Bei ihnen können zwar noch Reste der Staubblätter in den Blüten vorhanden sein, diese sind aber steril und die Blüten sind funktionell weiblich. Dadurch wird Selbstbestäubung verhindert. / In Knautia gynodioecy occur: female and hermaphroditic plants coexist within a population. Malformed stamina could exist but they are sterile and the flowers are funcionally female.
